Cali Road Trip Part 1: San Jose

Saturday, November 13, 2010

My Cali road trip started out in Los Angeles and we spent the first night in Santa Barbara at my friend Danielle's sister's place.  We weren't in Santa Barbara that long and I really didn't see what it was like in broad daylight.  The next day we drove to San Jose to visit my cousin Dina who is 8 months pregnant!  I'm so glad I got to see her before she pops.  Dina and her husband Mike took us to The Counter in Santana Row which is a pretty strip full of expensive stores.  The pumpkin pie milkshake is to die for and I suggest you try it now if you live by The Counter.  It's like autumn in your mouth.  It's also limited edition.  They let you split the milkshakes making them perfect for normal human beings. My veggie burger was customized to have a honey wheat bun with sliced pickles and sauteed mushrooms. The fries here are so good too!

Later that night, we checked into the hotel at Hotel Diva. It's a cute little hotel in the middle of Union Square San Francisco.  I love San Francisco so much I would probably move here.  Is someone out there willing to hire me? We already had a nail painting party as you can see. More San Francisco adventures to come soon.
